OnTheCastro.com is a free, all video, on-line magazine. We produce short videos about the people, places, and events in everyone's favorite neighborhood, the Castro. We report what is traditionally overlooked by local news organizations.

Are we news reporters?

OnTheCastro.com uses trained Videojournalists (VJ). Each VJ has their own area of interest and expertise which allows us to engage a wide variety of people--young, old, gay, straight, bisexual, transgendered. In some instances multiple VJ's cover the same story to reaveal multiple angles.

Can teens visit this site?

Yes! You will NEVER find porn on this site period! Did I say never? This means in advertisements, links, or porn videos. We want everyone to enjoy our site. You may find some content offensive and that probably would be a particular point of view or a four-letter-word. Which brings me to the next question.

What if you see yourself in one of our videos and you wish not to be?

Remember if you're in a public space and you find yourself in one of our videos and didn't want to be, we sincerely apologize. We do require prior authorization to shoot inside specific locations that are not public and honor anyone's objection to being on camera. If you find anything offensive please contact us via email (below) and we will discuss with you removing the video from our site.

Is OnTheCastro.com only for locals?

Uh, NO! OnTheCastro.com is a resource for anyone who would like to know: where to eat...where to shop...what book to read...where to go dancing... theatre...recent movie...etc. Better to just keep coming back for our latest video.
